Protek Shed and Fence can be painted or sprayed on to rough or prepared (smooth) timber. The coating is waterproof and resists fungal and algal attack.

Shed and Fence paint is easily applied by sprayer or brush, and simple to clean up with water and detergent. It is quick-drying and offers great coverage of up to 12m2per litre.

A time tested market favourite, Shed & Fence Wood Treatment is a waterproof wood stain that is long lasting and enhances the natural beauty of wood. Protek Shed & Fence treatment is a cost effective wood stain that can be applied to planed (finished) as well as rough sawn timber. This wood stain contains wax additives for the extra protection of a water resistant coating. It is a high-build formulation meaning that each additional coat will increase the depth of the colour, leaving a thicker coating with a richer sheen.

Protek Shed & Fence is a water-based wood stain with very low VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and virtually no odour, making it the ideal choice not only for fencing and sheds but all types of animal housing from chicken coups to kennels.

Protek Shed & Fence wood stain is available in many attractive and natural looking colours that can be applied by using a brush or a low pressure pump up garden sprayer. This product is a safe alternative to Creosote with good eco-credentials. Being water-based means that it is easy to clean up with warm water and detergent, negating the need for white spirit or paint stripping solutions.

Shed & Fence is an economical wood stain offering great coverage at up to 12m2 per litre per coat. For fencing one coat will colour and weather-proof with a second coat deepening the shade. For sheds it is recommended that two coats be applied for the first treatment with only one coat needed for future maintenance.

Colour Guide

Pale Green

A lot of timber products will come from the manufacturers pre-treated with a preservative product. This is referred to as ‘tanalised timber’ and the treatment is of a pale green colour that has recently changed in shade.

In response to this Protek have created a new Shed & Fence wood stain called Pale Green to match the colour of the new tanalised treatment. You can now treat other garden timber or cut ends with this matching shade and when treated with Pale Green Shed & Fence, you will have the added bonus of a water-resistant coating on your timber.

Black

Black wood stains have proved to be very popular and Black Shed & Fence Stain is no exception. Being a stain it allows the wood grain to show through allowing you to colour your wood whilst retaining its original features.

Dark Green

Dark Green is a popular colour for boundaries in the garden. This wood stain will blur edges and borders in much the same way as hedgerows and trees, contrasting wonderfully with planting.

larch

Larch is a rich mid brown colour, it is popular with people who are looking for something more brown that the usual "orange" looking fence treatment, but not too dark.

Cedar

Red wood stains have always been popular and Shed & Fence Cedar is no exception. Unlike spirit based reds this wood stain is not so bright harsh. This is a subtle red with some depth and an undercurrent of golden brown leaving a natural looking finish.

Russet

Shed & Fence Russet is a lovely mid brown coloured wood stain. It is specially formulated to nourish and protect the timber in your garden. It is water based and soaks easily into dry timber and then leaves behind a waterproof microporous acrylic that allows the timber to breathe and flex.

This coloured wood stain looks great on it's own or you could team it up with either Nut Brown or Gold to break the colour up.

Golden Brown

Golden Brown Shed & Fence Stain is a beautifully warm shade that instantly transforms timber. The rich golden glow makes any timber product look that much more luxurious, whilst retaining a natural and traditional brown wooden depth.

Nut Brown

This strong dark brown wood stain is a rich velvety shade that looks striking and natural. The colour is very much like the old mixtures of oil that were used in years gone by but with a more pleasing dark chocolate coloured base.

Gold

This lovely light golden wood stain will keep all garden timbers looking fresh and new. Shed & Fence Gold leaves a very natural looking stain finish that will increase in colour, protection and sheen with each further coat.

Dark Blue

Dark Blue wood stain offers an alternative to brown and green shades but still blends into the garden. This is a versatile colour whether looking for a modern feel in a courtyard or treating your poolhouse.
